Focus:HOPE Food Packing

Volunteers are needed to help Focus Hope pack food boxes to help people in the community meet their basic needs. Their website says they have been able to package and distribute 24,239,075 Food Boxes since 1971! Sure to be a fun and worthwhile morning with fellow MDYPK members - Join us!

Our incoming President, Robert Allen, has graciously offered to host a Young Professionals cookout at his house! Come eat some delicious food, play yard games (ladder ball, bocce ball) or N64 on his projection screen! Robert will be grilling, so plan on bringing your appetite, along with a side dish or dessert to pass. Instead of reimbursing Robert for food, we will be collecting optional donations to the Kiwanis Michigan Foundation.

We will be reviewing our regular club meeting agenda items, including past and upcoming events, birthdays, and status on current initiatives. Our guest speaker will be from the Riverfront Conservancy, telling us all about the great work that they do.
We will also be having a club drive for the Mercy Education Project who visited us at our August meeting. They are looking to fulfill items from their wishlist shown here with an emphasis on the back to school related items. Please bring what you are able!
We will be ordering dinner at the meeting. Feel free to plan on having dinner with us!
Peanut Sale Fundraiser

Come support our club’s last fundraising effort of the Kiwanis year! We will be selling Peanuts for donations in the City of Clawson (Livernois and 14 Mile). Proceeds will benefit sustaining and expanding our efforts to adopt parks and sponsor Little Free Libraries, which promote child activity and literacy.

Axe Throwing Social

Please join us for axe throwing at BATL (The Backyard Axe Throwing League), located in Fountain Walk in Novi. How it works: BATL coaches are on hand to instruct those who have never thrown an axe before, and offer tips on technique for more experienced throwers looking to sharpen their skills.
Pricing for walk-ins in $22.22 per person for one hour of throwing. Close-toed shoes are required.

Club Installations Celebration

Tonight we will be celebrating the amazing year our club has had with a cocktail reception. Join us at Pine Trace Golf Club for a great party! We will have an hors d'oeuvres reception, photo booth, music and a cash bar. Tickets for the night are $25. We will look back on highlights from the year, induct new members, retire our outgoing board and install our incoming board. We will also look ahead at all of the great things to come for the club in the next Kiwanis year. We need to give our venue a count on guests, so RSVPs are required. Feel free to invite family and friends to attend as well and RSVPS for them in the sign up below.
